1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp white onion, sliced
2 tsp tomato paste
225 g ground beef
To taste   salt and ground black pepper
2 Tbsp green peas
1 Tbsp raisins
1 can Hunt's Pork & Beans 175g, strained
4 pcs fried saging saba
4 pcs fried egg


  1. Over medium heat, add oil in a medium-sized sauté pan. Sauté garlic and onions until softened, then add tomato paste.
  2. Add ground beef, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook mixture for 5 minutes before adding green peas and raisins.
  4. Pour Hunt's Pork & Beans, and fold into the meat mixture.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for about 30 seconds. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Serve with fried saba and egg.

Tip: For a more saucy Arroz ala Cubana, add Pork and Bean sauce.
