½ kg pata tim, sliced
½ L water
1 pack Hunt's Spaghetti Sauce Pinoy Party Style 1kg
4 pcs red onion, quartered
1 Tbsp pepper, crushed
3 pcs bay leaf
2 Tbsp vinegar
3 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
6 cloves garlic, crushed
3 pcs star anise
3 pcs carrot, chopped
3 pcs potato, chopped


  1. Simmer pata tim in water for 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Discard the water from the first boil to get rid of scums and impurities.
  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients except the carrots and potatoes and simmer for 2-3 hours or until meat is fork tender.
  3. Add carrots and potatoes 45 minutes before pork is done.
